Our Banking Operations department stands out for the excellence of its unique tailor-made service, recognized by customers and the market alike. Nearly 200 employees work closely together in Switzerland and Singapore to handle the banking operations of demanding customers.

Indosuez Group is seeking an expert in BCBS239 for Group Operations to join its Lisbon Operational hub, a key and fast-developing platform supporting Operations activities across the Group.

🤓 The context

This Group-level role is dedicated to the BCBS239 framework within the Operations perimeter, covering banking transactions, client services, and middle/back-office activities across all Indosuez operational geographies, in alignment with Group standards and regulatory requirements.

The position is designed for a strongly hands-on, results-oriented professional, combining direct execution, end-to-end ownership and initiative.

The role plays a central part in both the transformation phase and the long-term BAU management of data governance within Operations, ensuring sustainable compliance, data quality, and harmonized practices across entities.

This role is a cornerstone of the Group’s operational resilience and regulatory credibility and is part of a wider collaborative & cross-functional structure at Indosuez level.

The role will be based in Lisbon, Portugal (Av. Dom João II 43, 1990-084 Lisboa, Portugal).

👨‍🔧 Your responsibilities

• Lead the deployment of BCBS239 standards across critical operational data domains

• Drive remediation plans, data quality controls and governance improvements

• Act as the main Operations point of contact for BCBS239 topics

• Ensure documentation, data lineage, glossaries and operational referentials are accurate and up to date

• Coordinate with Data Owners, IT, Compliance and Operations teams across entities

• Support harmonization of practices across countries and entities

• Identify manual processes and EUCs, and coordinate remediation or automation actions

• Transition BCBS239 governance into a sustainable BAU model

• Prepare reporting, dashboards and governance committees for senior management

Dual Reporting Line:

- Hierarchical report to the CEO of Azqore Portugal.

- Functional report to the Group’s Head of Operations Strategy Implementation & Performance.

🧙‍♂️ Your core competencies

• Master’s degree in Business, Engineering or equivalent

• 7+ years of experience in banking operations, transformation, data governance or risk

• Strong knowledge of BCBS239 or similar regulatory frameworks

• Experience in audit remediation, data governance and data quality controls

• Comfortable working across Operations, IT, Data and Compliance teams

• Strong ownership mindset with a hands-on and pragmatic approach

• Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority

• Experience with EUC remediation, automation or AI-driven process improvement is a plus

Languages:

Fluent in French and English; Portuguese is a strong asset.
