🤓 The team
The Team Leader of Corporate Actions & Income Taxes is responsible for processing and managing the risk relating to all Corporate actions event as well as Income and Taxes topics. Ensuring efficiency and productivity in delivering quality services to Azqore’s clients.
Working closely with his/her colleagues to provide clients with technical expertise and solutions, in a comprehensive, timely and accurate manner.
Facilitate the business growth of Azqore and its clients, through ensuring the processing of client’s banking transactions, with high quality output and excellence management of risk.
But here’s the exciting part: you’ll be helping launch this activity from scratch in Lisbon, working closely with our experienced team in Switzerland.
The role will be based in Lisbon, Portugal (Av. Dom João II 43, 1990-084 Lisboa, Portugal).
👨🔧 Your responsibilities
- Successful applicant will be responsible for the management of the Corporate Actions Income and Taxes processing within the Portugal Securities Operations team. Understanding of the core system and process workflow are essential.
- Ensure operational efficiency and excellence and maintain low levels of operational risk.
- Act as the point of contact for European clients on Corporate Actions queries, concerns and issues.
- There is an expectation that he/she understands the relevant markets and demonstrate front-to-back knowledge of the process(es) he/she is handling.
- Proactively manage and resolve discrepancies, relating to the functions he/she is responsible for, with internal and external stakeholders, both locally and abroad.
- Drive cross border collaboration and strengthen communication channels between Portuguese and Swiss teams.
🧙♂️ Your core competencies
- 3-5 years previous experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrate a knowledge of the key risk areas of the Corporate Actions, Income Taxes functions and its relevant controls.
- Ensure that the controls are performed according to the procedures.
- Demonstrate strong escalation skills and the ability to be part of the diagnostic process and implement solutions.
- Previous experience in securities or financial operations is preferred.
- Build and maintain a strong communication channel with clients and stakeholders.
- Client Service Oriented.
- Knowledge of banking and financial services processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data.
- Proficiency in relevant tools and software for securities processing.
- Rigorous and results oriented.
- Adaptable and resilient.
- Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
