We are seeking a talented Rapid Application Developer (RAD) with a strong aptitude for programming to join our dynamic Operations IT Department.

This position is within the department that manages information systems for Operations (back office) activities.

The RAD team works directly with the Operations department and offers quick-win solutions to improve the efficiency and robustness of the information system. The objectives of the Operations RAD team is to eliminate error-prone processes, improve productivity and user experience.

The position involves a significant exposure to Private Banking and Wealth Management processes and requires a sense of independence and ability to work within a challenging environment.

👨‍🔧 Your responsibilities

• Eliciting key business requirements

• Designing tactical, quick-win / strategic solutions

• Taking part in the development of solutions via new tools, industrialisation/enhancement of the existing ones, automation of processes, following RAD standards

• Supporting the operations platform (Cobol, Java, VBA)

• Maintaining a strong working relationship with our stakeholders

• Working with an international team across Lausanne, Geneva, Lisbon and Singapore

🧙‍♂️ Your core competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent

• At least 8 years experience in Banking application development, enhancement and support

• Strong technical proficiency in VBA/Excel macro, Python, PowerShell scripting, RPA, SQL, or similar programming language or automation tools

• Hands on experience in data analytics tool to generate reports and real-time dashboards via Microsoft Power BI

• Knowledgeable with agile framework, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD

• Exposure and interest in Private Banking and Wealth Management operations, especially back-office/operational workflows, trading lifecycle, market data, etc.

• High analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to translate business needs into simple, effective technical solutions

• Experience with legacy systems and/or mainframe environments (Cobol) is a plus
